On Monday morning a high wind from the north-east made top coats necessary to comfort. It wa3 about 4.30 when the first work was done, this being by Wolverine, Wnyland, and Darmeur, who went for a useful working gallop—Wayland and Dormeur twice round and the Cup horse a bit further, all shaping well. Piqua was given her usual dose—a long, easy cauter. Don Coe;ar and Lady Hab went a mile at half paea. Garibaldi was ridden twice round by Longhlin at medium pace, and nlso taken tbreo times over the schooling hurdle, which wa3 cleared cleverly each time. Mon Loup did only slow work, and Lady Bell was indulged in tho easiest of canters. Hilda compassed two circuits at a medium-pace gallop, being accompanied the second time round by Cissy. These marcs keep very well. Hilda is now worked twics & day. Harrison Eent Reprisal and Fiesolo about a mile at tbree-quarter speed. They both gallop in nice style, especially Reprisal, who is a nice-looking sort of colt. Blizzard led Fore6t King in a two-mile canter. Trimolite did a useful two-mila spin, and is improving every day. Occident aud Mariner were not extended, their job for the morning was a very 6low twomile canter. Occident appeared with bandages on his fore legs.
