BOUND PUBLIC HOUSES.
(Pee United Pbess Association.) Auckland, February 18. Another case involving the question of ' bound" public houses was heard to-day. The plaintiff was Moss Davis (Hancock and Co., brewers), and the defendant W. Long, lessee of the Arch Hill Hotel. The right to supply this house wilh ales, beer, &c. was purchased by plaintiff from defendant for £250, but a hitch occurred in the negotiations, and, as is alleged by defendant, though plaintiff denies this, the latter refused to complete the contract until certain conditions he made had been complied witb.' Upon this Long entered into an agreement with Ehrenfriod, auother brewer, selling to him tbe right to supply tho house for £300. The present action is for a prohibition restraining defendant from purchasing beer, &c. from any < person other than plsiutiff or bis assigns. The argument on the question of law involved wa3 deferred until the next civil sittings.
