HOSPITAL SITE.D TO THE EDITOR.
Sib, —Permit mo to suggest that one of the most eligible sites in Dunedin has been entirely overlooked during the late controversy.
Adjoining the University grounds is a five acre block that has been in the possession of the University Council for the last 20 years, and no use has been made of it. If the hill adjspent to Union street wera levelled a most msgoificant site could be formed at a comparatively small coat. The new hospital would be in close proximity to the University, almost close to the railway station at Pelichet Bay, and comparatively BpeakiDg in the centre of Dunedin. The drainage would be perfect, the locality healthy, and it could be utilised at almost no cost. Trusting this suggestion may receive consideration.—l am, &0., Dunedin, February 14. Economy.
