Store cattle meet with no enquiry. St*re Sheep.—The business passing in thia description of stock is at present unimportant. There are, however, occasional enquiries for, young merinos, and for good, sound, fullmouthed merino ewes. Crossbred weth.-rs also are sometimes asked for, and we anticipate when the stubbles are clear that there will be a fair deraaud for good breeding ewes, l?iß3.—llB were ponned, most of them mediumweight bacon pigs and porkers. For these descriptions there waa a fair demand, and value 3 may bo quoted ii shade higher. Prime bacon pigs brought from 40a to 535; porkers, 30; to 365; stores, 23» to 27s ; slips, los to 18s ; suckers, 7s to 11b.—Whioht, STKPnuNSOX, asd Co. Sheepskins.—Owing to the holidays this week the regular weekly sales were held on Monday instead of Tuesday. The trade was fully represented, and the whole of the catalogues were cleared, under strong competition, as follows:—Country dry crossbreds, inferior to medium, brought Is 5d to 4s 3d; do do merino, la 4d to 33 lOd; medium to full-wooled crossbreda, 4s 8d to 63; do do merino, 4a Id to os 8d ; dry pelta.3dtola3d; green crossbred pelts (large size, aud suitable for particular purposes), 2s 9d, 23 7d, 2s Od, 2a 4'1,2a 3d ; good to ordinary, Ss 2d,2s Id, 2s, Is lOd.lsfld, la 8d; green lambskins, 2a 11d,259d, 2s 7d, 2s sd, 2s sd, 2a 3d, 2s, Is lid, Is lOd. Rabbitskins.—The descriptions coming forward now are for the most part Bpring and sunimor skins. These, however, are well competed for, and all the lots offering are taken up at full rates.

Tnllow.—Late advices from London report a decline of fully £3 per ton iv best tallow, and this, together with the fact that our local manufacturers are well stocked, has had a depressing influence on this market. Shippers do not bellevo that the lowest prico lias jut been reached In the Home market, and until the market there flhows someeignof recovering itself they will not purchase unless to fill orders, of which at present there are none. Wn quote medium to good ]5s to li>3, inferior and mixed 12s to 1-ls. Rough fat: Best mutton, clean and fresh, Us to 123; inferior to medium, 8s to JOs per cwt. Hides.—The market lately has been barely supplied, but sufficient for requirements, local tanners being the only purchasers. Consignments coming forward now, although not so heavy, are apparently quite equal to the demand. We csnnot report any change in the tone of the market, and quote as proviously—for prime heavy weights, 2?d to 3d; medium to heavy, 2jd to 2£d; light, 2d to 2jd ; inferior, 2£d to l*jd per !b. Wheat.—'lhe market still remains in the same uuoatißfactory^ state, and although there is rather more business doing In eeeond-claa3 samples, it is at prices ■which cannot be otherwise than very unsatisfactory (jo growers, Prime milling 1b not too plentiful, but

tuflioientlysutomeeb thotlemaud. Wo quota: Prime milling, 2s Hid to 3s; medium, 2s id to 2a tid ; inferior _ nnd fowl feed, 2s to 2s 3d. -, Oats.—There has beon rather more inquiry for \ bhipment during Lhu past week, and as growers have made up their minds to laco the situation, sales of ionic cunßidurable extent havo beon made. Tho utocka Held arc now not largo, and until tho new crop is ready for tho market we do not anticipate nay cliango in uihiea. We quote: Prime milling,ls Id, to'is 5d ; bright feed, Is a£d to Is 3 a 'd ; inferior, Is to Id2d. Grass Seed.—Tbo demand experienced during the past few weeka ia well maintained, and prices if anything are firmer. lan.'oqu:mtities are being shipped, ; nnd speculators are also optratiug freely. We quote: Machine-dressed 3s Sd to 4s ; clean threshed samples, 3i to 3s 6d ; inferior, 2s to 2a lid. Wool.—Advices regarding the progress nf tho London sales are not so encouraging as could bo desired; but we aro uluased to notn Hint, although thero is n slight decline ou the opening ratea, the market during the past weak has remained steady, and pricoa well maintained for good wooln, and for faulty greasy moderate. These sales eto.= eon tho 21th inst. Since the ilnl.p of our list locnl salon operations have !>oen confined to the disposal of the'odd lots withdrawn then, nearly all of which havo Imen placed nt prices ■ slightly over thoso offered at the time. Ou Monday wo offered n moderate catalogue-all fadges and bags, part fleece, pieces and looks. Bidding whs exceedingly spirited, aud very satisfactory prices obtained for all the lots. \Tlic imtiitlual re/mrts of wool, rabbitskin,or grainbroken can lie inserted in the Daily Times and CHwo Wilncst at special rates,]
