PROHIBITION AT ROSLYN.

TO THE EDITOE.

Sib, —A Roslyn critic (A. C. Begg) criticised my letter ou prohibition in your issue of the 12bh, and concludes that I was insane. If this is what he terms severity, ,1 account it only the froth of human ill-nature; but if he, instead, doubted the veracity of ray letter, I could give him the name of the manse and minister who was the subject of brandy medicine. I could add a little more on the hypocrisy of prohibitionists, and give names also of three living witnesses—myself the fourth—who was treated in a hotel by a staunch teetotaller. " Oh," I said, "is this the way of teetotallers ?" " Never mind just now," ho replied. True, it is not an uupardonablo sin; the captain of a Salvation Army will pardon it," kc.—l ;im, &o , February 15. William M'Lennan.
