THE LONDON PRODUCE MARKET.
Messrs Lewis and Innes have sent the following report to Mr W. D. Sutherland, of Dunedin :—" We had this pleasure on Gth ult., and havo not since received any of your letters. Through an exceptionally mild season our butter market with some slight variations has remained fairly firm, and to-day prime Danish 13 quoted at 120s, while even 130s is asked for some parcels. There has been one arrival from New Zealand—by the Doric this week—but only a small lot, and it has not yet been placed in the market. Colonial butters are asked for, one inquiry reaching us yesterday for a brand •which we landed last year and sold at 112s. This was New South Wales in Pond's cases, and the same money would have been got now. This shows the advantages in a brand becoming known and liked. Ohcese is in good demand at 5Cs for best Amerisan. No New Zealand available.
