Despite the unfavourable weather on Saturday, the Wanderers Second went to Mosgiel by drag to play the Taieri Second. The Wanderers going first to the wickets, repjamed there the greater part of the afternoon. As tha Tnieri tenui did not have time to fmish their innings, the match ended in a draw. Holmes (21) Cook (19), Gourley (IS). Montgomery (13), and Lmng (11) batted well for the WanderersAllan batted well for the Taieri. Jago, Allan' Vandersloot, Holmes, and Fleming (the latter doing the "hat trick") bowled well for their respective sides. A Wellington telegram states that in the senior cup match the Midland, with 100 to win only made 70-H. Blacklock scoring 10, A Blaclilock 11, and J. Blacklock 14. The I'ouukes therefore won by 30 runs. In the Wellington ami PiHcnix match She former scored 170 in the tirst innings—Boddington mailing 42 and Koch -10. The game was stopped by a heavy shower of rain. In the junior cup match between the Wellingtou Second and the Phcenix, the former scored 120 of which Anderson made 53. This game was also stopped by rain.
