FOOTBALL.
At the special general meeting of the Pacific Football Club, it was decided that it would be impossible for them', to continue playing as a senior club tbis season, owiug" to the greater part of their first fifteen having left them—some to leave the colony, and others to play ..with other clubs—but with the acquiescence of other; clubs they will keep the fixtures made for the second fifteen playing as a junior club. There-, signations of the captain and deputy captain were received and accepted, and the following new officers were elected: —Captain, George Hudson; deputy-captain, J. M'Cufccheon; match committee, George Hudson,:J. M'Cutcheon,and F. M'Lean.
The Dunedin Club will hold a practice match on tho Caledonian ground tor-morrow;" Play begins at 4.15 o'clock. The following are the players :— Blues: Ashcroft, Branigan, Barton; Chalmer, Cook, Carter, M Driver, C 'Gillies, Gallic, Howie, Haynes, Hazlett, Harvey, Hardy, Lo Cren, Lee's, •Morris, Martin,- Monkman,' MuHhou, Mitchell, Missen. Malcolm, Murray, M'Kay, M'lndoe, M'Rorie, Roberts, Ronaldson, Stephenson, Smeaton, Turnbull (2), Walls, Williams. Colours;- Austin, Butterworth. Baldwin. Campbell, Collier, "CHr:stoph'er, B Driver, H Gillies, Home, Harper, Hunter, Hogg, Jaokman, Lees, Mills, Martin, Moore, Murison,Montgomery, Murray, Murley, MAdam, Ross, Roseveare, Scott, Stokes, .Smith, Turton,-Weldon, Woodhouse, Menelaus. All members are ' particularly requested to attend,
