LAND BOARD

Yesterday's meeting of the Land Board was attended by Messrs. Maitland (Chief Conunissioner), Clark, Duncan, and Brown. IDA VALLEY. A number of residents' at Ida Valley petitioned the Board through Mr Pyke to have the road hitherto in use on Run 244f kept open. Mr W. L. Simpson, on behalf of J.Drummy, licensee of the run,; asked that the road be closed as it was not on the map shcvm at the sale. The Board decided that the road being in common use it must remain open. GREENVALE. An application from J. A. Kirke for a grazing right over blocks 14, 15, and IT, Greenvale, was referred to the Chief Commissioner. NENTHORN. , AY. R. M. Bethune, lessee of a small grazing run at Nenthorn, applied to be relieved of the residential condition in his lease, as he was residing within ten miles of the run on freehold property.—Application to be granted if circumstances are as stated. WAIKOUAITI. W. L. Simpson applied to have a notice inserted in the Gazette with regard to run 171b' the lessee having failed to pay his rent within a mouth of the date on which it became; due. Resolved to insert the notice in terms of section 188 of the Act. BTOLE. . James Hartstongd, jun., asked the Board to recommend Government to dispose of sections 19 and 20, block VI., Budle, which have been grouped so as to form a small grazing run. Declined.
