For Southland, Australian Colonies, India, China, Japan, Continent of Europe, United Kingdom, &c, per Manapouri, at 1.50 p.m.. Money orders (for Australian Colonies only), registered letters, and newspapers, at 12.50 p.m. Late letters, guard's van. Port Chalmers train, at 2.30 p.m. Letters for the United Kingdom must be specially addressed, aud paid Is per Joz. Saturday, Avgust 1. For New South Wales and Queensland, at 6.45 a.m. Late letters, North train, 8.10 a.m. DIRECT MAIL SERVICE. The contract steamer Rimutaka will leave Wellington for Plymouth, via Rio de Janeiro, on Sunday, August 2. Mails close here as under: — For United Kingdom and foreign countries, via the United Kingdom, at 6.45 a.m. on Saturday, August 1. Registered correspondence at 5 p.m. on Friday, July 31. Book packets and newspapers at 9 p.m. on Friday, July 31. , . -Money orders at 4 p.m. on Friday, July 31. The above mail will close for newspapers at the branch post-o/iice, Albany street, at 9 p.m. on Frij day, 31st, money orders at 4 p.m., registered, letters 5 p.m.; aud for letters at 5 a.m. ou Saturday, Ist. (At the South Dunediii office for newspapers at 8 p.m., for money orders at 4 p.m., and registered j letters at 5 p.m. on Friday, 31st; and for letters at 5 a.m. on the Ist. At the' Port Chalmers office at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Ist; money orders at 4 p.m., I and registered letters at 5 p.m. on Friday, 31st.
