CALEDONIAN SPORTS. TO THK EDITOR.
Sir, —I notice in your issua of tho IGth inst. that Mr Adair was a little put out at my lettor of the Sth January. Now I do not intend to have a paper v/arfare with Mr Adair, as I think it a little under my notice ; nor would I havo replied to his letter had he not been so anxious that I ehould give the names of the two roelß ha played, Now, Sir, my ears muat have docoivod me if ha did not play " Caberfeidh" for a strathspey on tho board. According to Ross's (the Quean's piper) book, " Cabsrfeidh" is termed a reel. It is juat posaible Mr Adair, being a profession il, may givo it another name. He seems to bo anxious to make acquaintances in Dunedin, and I think he has boen successful in that way. As also it appears to me he would have ub understand that he was a piper of some importance on the other Bide of the line by his address, but it does not always follow that pedigrees deserve prizes.—I am, &c,
