. Rangiora, December 12th. The Grand Lodge of' Good Templars met here at 10 o'clock/this morning, Bro J. T. Smith, G. W.C.T., presiding.,. ', ; .Representatives' from Duiiedin, Port Chalmers, Tiuipeka, Alexandra, Clinton, Gore, Christclmrch, Akaroa, Ashburton, Geraldine, Hokitika, Oreymouth, Nelson, Blenheim, Wei-. Huston, and Wangamii were.present. . The following officers took their scats :— P.O.W.C.T. Bro Rev. Thomas Roseby, LL.D.; G.W.V.T. Bro Sands; ,G.W. Treasurer Bro William-Carrj'Gf.S.J.T.'Bro'Alls-worth; G.W.S. Bro-Cameron1; ay.d G.W.S. Bro Al'Donnell. Tho Grand Lodge degree' was conferred on new members.

The reports of the officers were next considered ; and after a long discussion on the working of tho Licensing Act, the matter was referred to a committee consisting of Dr Roseby, Messrs Adams,.Allsworth, and Jago, to consider the powers placed in the handß ( of Licensing Committees by the present Licensing. Act, and the relations in which Good Templars should stand to the Act and- the committees elected thereunder.

Tho financial report showed a decrease of members and funds. . . ■ . ;

This evening there willjje a procession,.to bo fallowed by a tea and pmjlic meeting.
