MAITLAND v. MERVYN.—A CORRECTION.
TO THE EDITOR. Sra, —I have received a letter from Mr Mervyn, in which he says: "I see by the Otago Daily Times you are said at the Land Board to have stated that I had let section 7 to a tenant who had failed. If you have stated ' this please correct it, as it is not true." I do not remember writing such a statement in your paper; but I beg to say that I have nevor made any statement whatever, oither at the Land Board or elsewhere, as to Mr Mervyn having let or sub-let his land, or as to the supposititious tenant having failed.—l am, &c.
