POST OFFICE NOTICE.

Mails close at the Chief Post Offlco, Dunedin (subject to any nccea.wry alterations), as under :— This Day (Tuesday), Ocrousit 3. For Southland, Australian Colonies, India, China Africa, Continent of Europe, United Kingdom, &c., per Ringarooma, at 2.50 p.m. Money orders, registered letters, and newspapers, Late letters, guard's van, Port Chalmers train, at 3.30 p.m. Letters, &c. for tho United Kingdom must be specially addressed, and paid Sd per ha. Money orders at 4 p.m. Friday, 6th. Lato letters, bearing an additional single rate of postage as a lato fee, can be posted in the mail-van attached to the Northern train,. leaving Dunedin Railway-station at 8.15 a.m. 6n the 7th. ' The above mail will close for newspapers at the braiich post office, Albany street, at 9 p.m. on Friday, flth, money orders at 6 p.m., and registered letters at 5 p.m., and for letters at 5 a.m/on Saturday, 7th. At the Port Chalmers office at 8 a.m. on Saturday, 7th, money orders at 4 p.m., and registered letters at 5 p.m. on Friday, 6th. The above mail will be due in London on the 20th November.
