Tho object of tho propostd Company shall bo to prospect tho rce's in the Tuapeka County by aid o the diamond-drill, and tho alluvial ground by moans of tho most suitable borinx-macliitio available. It 1b a wall-known fact that numerous roofs boaring gold, copper, antimony, &c. oxist in tho Tuapeka County that only require to be prospected by Buch an admirable machine as tho diainond-drtU to prdve their mineral oxtont and dotormino whether thoy can bo profitably worked. Tho intention of tho Company ia not at preaonk to purchase a diamond-drill, but to »pply a portion of itß capital towards paying the working exponsea of one to bo supplied by the Government to tho Tuapoka County Council. Should the Company, however, determine to purchase one of those drills, the Government havo liberally offered to subsidise thorn to tho extent of £760 for that purpose. Tho Provisional Directors having obtained a largo quantity of valuable information from a variety of sources, including letters from Professor Ulrich and Dr Hoctor, on the capabilities of the diamond-drill, find that while it is admirably adapted for ponotrating roefs or any hard substance, it is not 80 woll suited for alluvlil ground. Thoy havo thoroforo mado thomselvos acquainted with tho best modern appliances for boring in alluvial ground, and one of tho first offortj o? tho proposed Company wiU be to obtain a boring-machine well fitted for testing the comonted drift deposits of Tuapoka, Waitahuna, and Waipori Flats. Machines well adapted for thia purposo aro now to \o had at a cost of about £200, with fittings complete, and Government have offered to subuidiso the Company to tho extont of £160 for tho purchase of one of these boring-machines. There can bo no doubt as to tho auriferous nature of tboae cements, and it Is wcil known that thoy extend over a vaet area cf country ; but tho ordinary process of sinking prospecting shafts is bo oxponsivo as to be beyond tho roach of private enterprise With tho latest improved machines, boring can bo effected at tho rato of 2J foot per hour by manual power, and a thick core of tho strata penetrated brought to the surfneo, and exposed for examination. Calls in tho proposed Company have beon flxpd aj the rato of 8d pei; week por wiarp, to be called up monthly. This small sum has been decided upon to bring tho claims of the Company within tho roach of all. The aili?anta"Cß to Sharoholdors will bo as follow ;— In the event of any payable reefs or deposits being discovered, each Shareholder will be ontitled to an intorest in the discovory in proportion to the number of shares ho holds, and"lt will bo at tho option of the Company to sell their discovery to the best advantage or w%rk it thomßelves, as may bo deemed most advisable. The Provisional Directors have every reason to believe that the Company, will be a financial sue.ess, beaidos in a largo dogree developing tho mineral resources of tho County. o>pies of this Prospectus, and Forma of Application for Shares, may bo obtained from any of the Provisional Directors^ or Irom the Brokers of the Company. ■-■': ■-■■'*. iv,"\r;'•&*'}*■■'':'''*:'o'"l 's•■■■-> , I Share-list will cioso on i 0 Pown.bor, issy.
