Saturday, October 22, Lyttolton—Penguin arrived 5 a.m. from Wellington ; sailed 10 p.m. for Wellington. Now Plymouth—Wanata arrived morning from Kelson; sailed afternoon for Manukau. Welliogton-Ringarooina arrived morning from Napier; Bailed afternoon for Hapier.
The brigantloe Lapwing left Port Chalmers on Saturday morning with cargo for Timaru. Iho s.s. Beautiful Star left Timaru at 8,15 p.m. on Friday, and reached Port Chalmers at 10 a.m. on Saturday. The barque Frederick Bassil was towed to sea on Saturday, and sailed with cargo for Newcastle. , Tho s.s. Waitaki sails to-day for Northern ports. A fresh S. W. breeze, attended by rainy weather, sot in j'esteiday. It should bring up somo of the expected Homo ships, particularly the Jessie Headman, now 09 days from Glasgow ; the Scatoller, from Liverpool, 90 days out; the Timaru, 91 days from London ; and the Marie Berg, 118 daya from Uoston. The schooner Mary Ogilyie sailed yesterday afternoon for Oamaru.
