Several clips and parcels had only partially arrived, owing to the heavy wcuther through the country. The market is firm, notwi'hstanditig rumours of war. We have this week sold privately the Kyebuin clip, ileece at lOjd, pieces 7d, locks 5Jd; ami ileast, 15 balea washed cro?3-bred and six merino, at 15cl; 4 pieces and black, 12d ; 2 bales locks, 8d ; A in circle, 4 bales cross-bred, lCd. Sheepskins, Hides, and Tallow—Sales will in future be held on Mondays, as per advertisement. We have no sales to report tins week, but we have great enquiry for slauuhterimn's produce of every description. Grain—The unsettled state of the weather prevents any business frr forward deliveries. We have enquiries from both buyers and sellers who are disposed to enter into contracts for wheat if deliveries conM le calculated upon. Canterbury seems to have suffered considerable damage from rains and flood?. Tlin crops in the Oamaru district are reported in a critical state, requiring line harvest weather. Under the inr.st promising circumstances, the delivery of new wheat in grinding condition must be delayetl threo or four weeks, which will throw another month of consumption upon the nearly exhausted old stock of breadstuffs. Oats have been offering more freely, and as thero are no shipping orders the price has receded fully 2d per bushel whore sales have been forced : 2s being the highest price obtainable for good feed, although by cablegram from our Melbourne office prices there have considerably improved, feed selling at 3s 6d. Barley is quiet both for malting and feeding, but holders are firm, as the new grain cannot come mto the market for a considerable time, owing to its soft .humid condition.
