CAVERSSAM ROAD BOARD.

The regular meeting of the Cavewham Koai Board wfwheld In the School-house on Wednesday evening. Present—Mr Rutherford (In the chair),; Messrs Bridffman, U'Ren, W,i|son, and Lanßmuir. -Messrs Rutherford and Bridgman reported that the transfer of the land purchased from Mr Brodrick had now been completed. r It was agreed that the consent of the Board be granted to the formation of tramways on the: road lines, and that any tramway Company formed be empowered to run their, cars under the regulationj adopted by the Board and the Municipal Councils of South Dunedin and St. Kilda; the concessi >n to be granted for seven yean. It was agreed to prepare specifications and to call for tenders for the formation of Josephine street in Darler, and to ask the Municipal Council of South Dunodin to assist In erecting a bridge at the junction b! that street with the Hillside road.

A plan for draiuaee in Cavoraham East was received from Mr E. Smith, factor to the Presbyterian Church Trustees, and consideration thereof doferred till next meetintr.

The Inspector woo. instructed to take the necessary steps for draining the water off from the bottom of College street, to form water tables on the Main South roail from St. Peter street to the point where the new' drain has been formed, and to repair the footpath on St. Hilda road, between the railway crossing and Naumsnn'e Hotel. • ■ ■ . , :
