COUNTY COUNCIL ELECTIONS.

ROSLYN BIDING.

At the Kaikorai Drill Shed yesterday, Mr R. B. Martin attended to receive nominations for a member to rej resent the riding of Roslyn. The following were proposed:—Mr Robert Rutherford, proposed by Mr A. C. Begg, and seconded by .Mr A. C. Lawsonj Mr William Farley, proposed by Mr Daniel Brown, and seconded by Mr George Johnston.

It was announced that further proceedings were adjourned until the 22nd instant, when a poll will take place between the hours of nine and six o'clock. NOKTH-EAST VAILEY RIDINGS. A meeting of ratepayers was held in the North-East Valley Schoolhouse last evening, to request Mr Isaac Green to stand as representative for the riding. About fifteen persons were present, and as no opposition was offered, and Mr Green consented to stand, no chairman was appointed, and those present dispersed. The election will take place in the schoolhouse today.
