The area of the Lease is sixteen acres two roods, or a_ distance of one thousand e'ghfc hundred and eighteen links along tbe line of reef by nine hundred and nine links in width. The prospects of this claim are very good, and fairly warrant; the erection of machinery, in view of which the present shareholders (eight in number,-, have determined to offer 200 shares to;the public, the price of such shares to be £10 eich, retaining six hundred shares, fully paid up, for themselves, the total number of eight hundrei shares representing the present value of the Lease and Claim, including chs capital already expended in testing the ground. The amount of work a/reacly performed on the Claim has proves th-3 existence of the reef throughout us entire length, and to a depth o! forty-five feet, with no ciminution in \he qumtity or appaient value of the stone, of which aboufc tweuty tons, showing gold, have bien brought to grass. The extensive engagements previously entered into by the proprietors of ihe Crushing Maohines already erected on the Reefs, are such as to preclude the possibility of obt-ii:ing a crushing for several months; and it is on this ground principally thafc the public are invited to take shares iv the undertaking, so as to raise the nercs^ary capital for the Purchase and Erection of Machinery. Water is easily obtainable, and the necessary applications have been lodged for Water Rights, and for a specid sits for Machinery.
