GAS MOVEMENT.
(To the Editor of-.tte, Otago Daily, Times. ) Snt—lt is always an unpleasant tusk to reply to anonymous communications which on the''face "faf"* thorn* express their character, but nevertheless, I cannot allow any one to charge me, even anonyirously, with insulting1 the community run ong whom I reside. i I deal in facts, not fiction. This does not suit *' Citizen" and his partner in the samo boat, "Consumer," both of whom adopt the clap-trap cry of my insulting the gas consumers, whose money and sympathy they cannot secure by fair and. proper means. As I deal and come in contact with my customers, almpst^daily, lew, itf any,' will believe, that lam capable of insulting them. ■ f Every statement made by " Citizen,?' I challenge as untrue ; but in conclusion, I beg to say, that although 1 shall always endeavour to correct mis-statements, tending to mislead the;p|tb|ic, 1 shall refrain from further replying: to communications from parties who shield themselves from the responsibilities of palpable aniV wilful misrepresentation, under a feigned name.—l am, &g., S, JJirrpHisoN,.
