OAMAEU STOCK REPORT.
A considerable amount of business has been done in store stock since our last, and enquiries are numerous for mixed lambs, sound l,ull-mouthed.evres, and good store weddere, in Jarge numbers; faufc many buyers ate holding o.t from closing, anticipating that greater quantities will be in the market next moutb, and cause prices to rule easier. This we do not anticipate: we look forward to advanced rates, especially in lambs. From the weather being most favorable, shearirg is progressing fast, and we look fcr early shipments this season, as already a considerable number of bales are down to Port. Our quotations are:— Fat Cattle—sos to 55s per lOOlbs, in Otago; in Canterbury, prices are a «hade easier, and 53s to 60s may beqnoted for prime. Stores—are in great demand; mixed cattle, from eighteen months to four years, are worth from L8 to LlO 10s per head, according to distance from market. Fat Wedders.—None in the market, mr will there be any great number to bo offered after shearing. Ewes.—Our "principal buyers are unwilling to close till January, expecting easier rates; and sellers are firmer, looking for an advance. Our present selling rates are, for delivery in <"tago, 8-tooth ewes, 10s to 12s; 2, 4, 6, and 8-lootb, equal proportions, 14s to 15s; 2 and 4-tooth, 16s to 17s; broken mouth, sound, 7s to 7s 61. Mr Rich has become the purchaser of 400 Messrs Julius's 2tooth stud ewes, at L 2 10s each, in the wool. Lambs much in demand, and lots offered a month ago at 18s Jo 19.*, are now held for 20s to 21s per pair. Winter lambs, a shade higher. .... Rams.—Mr i)avies (Southland) has purchased a lot of Messrj Julius's at L 5 each We have still for sale several lots by firstclass breeders, at from L 4 15s to If, ss; to medium and aged, L2 to 13. We would caU attention to an importation of new blood, 300 rams, now landed ex Omeo, from the celebrated flocks of Messrs Fisher Eros, South Australia, a breed highly valued, and superior to any lot of rams hitherto imported from Australia. Horses.—There are few changing hands at present, and prices are a shade easier ; our adjourned sale will be held on Saturday, 29th inst. • Sheepakins-Stll command high rates, 5d to 6£; l per ]b. GOLD STATISTICS. Revenue.—The total Customs revenue received at Dunedin, for the month ending 30th November, was L 22,009 11s 6a. The gold export duty for the same period was L 2138 135.5 d. Immigration am> Emigration.—The Immigration returns shew that during the kst month there have arrived coastwise, 286 males, 44 females, 4 boys aed 1 girl. During the same period there have l-eft the Province,, coastwise, 144 males, 19 female?,. 7 boys and 5 grls. From countries beyond Mew Zealand the arrivals were 127 males,' 71 females, 34. boys arid 21 girls; and the departures,. 56 males, 13 females, 9 boys and & girls.
