The annual meeting of the Aborigines Protection Society was held at Exeter Hall. Lord Alfred Churchill, M.P., pVesided. He devoted the major portion of his speech to an exposition of the New Zealand question; and after reprobating the war he sketched an outline of policy which he thought might be successfully adopted. ■ A memorial to the Queen was voted, for the despatch of a commission of enquiry to New Zealand.
