The following are the qualifications cf Voters :— Every man of the age of 21 and upwards, and being a" natural born or naturalized subject of the Queen. 1. Having a Freehold Estate in possession, situate within the district for which the vote is claimed, of the clear value of 1.50, above all charges and incumbrances, and of or to which he has been seized or entitled either at aw or in equity for at least six calendar months efore the 30th of April; or 2. Having a Leasehold Estate in possession, situate within such district, of the clear annual value of ten ponnds, held upon a lease which on 30th April shall have not less than three years to run, or of which he has been in possession foi three years or upwards next before 30th April; or 3. Being a Householder within such District, occupying a tenement and residing therein Bix calendar mouths previous to 30th April, if within the limits of Dunedin, of the clear annual value of five pounds. The above form, with description of Districts, is in the '" Provincial Government Gazette" ci date 18th February, 1863, and the said Gazette may be purchased at Mr A. K.^Livingstone's Bookseller, lunedin, and may "be .seen at the various Pest and Police Offices out of Dunedin; and also at the Ferry Houses of the Province. -PRESCRIPTION OF THE DISTRICTS FOR THE HOUSES OF REPRESENTATIVES WITHIN REFERRED TO. 1. Dunedin and Suburbs North comprises all lands in the Province of Otago bounded on the south by a right line prolonged from the Harbor of lmnedin through the centre of Stuart street and centre of the Octagon, Dunedin, until the said line intersects the western boundary aftermentioned; on the east by the Ocean; on the north-west and west by a right line from the northwestern head of Purakanui Harbor to the Trigonometrical Station on Flagstaff Hill; tbence by a right line towards the mouth of the Kaikorai River, until it intersect the above-mentioned right line from the Harbor of Dunedin through fetuart street. 2. Dttbedin and Suburbs South comprises all land in the Province of Otago bounded on the east by the Ocean; on the north by a right line prolonged from the Harbor of Dunedin through the centre of Stuart-street and centre of the Cctagon, Dunedin, until the said line intersects the western boundary after-mentioned; on the south by the Ocean ; on the south-west and west by a right line from the mouth of the Kaikorai River towards the Trigonometrical Station on Flagstaft Hill till it intersects the said north boundary. 3. Bruce is bounded on the north by the Hamp den District, from the mouth of the Waikouaiti Biver to the confluence of the Minzionbura and Ciutha River; thence by a line to the summit of Mount Spyiaw; thence down the Spylaw Burn to its confluence with th r Pomanaka River ; thence on the west by the Pomahaka River to the confluence of the Waipahi Creek; thence by the Waipahi Creek to the confluence of the Kawera Creek; thence by a line to the Otaria Peak ; thence on the south-west by a line to • Cattlin's Cone; thence by Cattlin's River to the sea; and thence by the sea to-Waikouaiti River—excepting the Districts of Dunedin and Suburbs North, and Dunec'ia and Suburbs South. 4. Hampdbn is bounded on the north an! northeast by the Heathcote andTimaru ] )3tricts; on the north-west by the sea; on t] o southwest and south by a line from the head of Milford Haven to the Wakatipu Lake; thence by that Lake to the Kawarau River, • thence by that River to Clutha Kiver ; thence by the Clutha Kiver to the confluence of the Minzionburn; thence by the Minzionburn to Lammerlaw Peak; thence by a line to the nearest source of the L'eep Stream; thence' down the Deep Stream to its confluence" with the Taieri Wiver; thence by a line due east across the Silver Peak Hills to Cherry Farm Creek; thence down that Creek to its confluence with the Waikouaiti River; at d down the Waikouaiti River to the sea; and on the east by the sea. T^ESCRIPTION OF THE PROVINCIAL DISTRICTS WITHIN REFERRED TO. 1. Dunedin District comprises all that area •within the City and Belt, as shown in the Record Maps, 2. Port Chalmers District comprises all tha area within the Town and Belt, as shown in the Rtcord Maps. 3. Oamaru Town District comprises all that area within the town boundary, as shown in the Record Maps. 4. North Harbor District comprises all that area, bounded on the north by the Ocean; on the eas-t by the Otago Harbor and Port Chalmers District; on the south by the Town of Dunedin; and on the west by the Water of Le-th to its source; thence to the Waitati Stream from its source to the Ocean. 5. Peninsula District comprises all that area bounded on the north by Otago Harbor; on the east by the < cean; on the south by the Ocean; and on the west by Block VJI. Town District, and that road-iine running direct from Hillside to the Ocean Beach. 6. Waikari District comprises all that area bounded on the north by the northern boundary of Block V, Duneain and Eatt Taieri District; on the east by the Water of Leith and Town of Dunedin ; on the south by that road-live running from Maclagganstieet to Lock-out Point; thence by a clinct line through Trig Stations V and D to that road-line runn'ng along the Kaikorai Ranges; on the wtst by that road-line towards Stoney Knowe, and the western boundary of Block V Dunedin and East Taieri Di-trict. 7.
