NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that tenders will be received at the Town Board Office, until noon ©f Tuesday, the 22nd day of March, from contractors, for the construction of two sets of timber steps leading from Rattray-street to the Canongate, north and south, in accordance "with the plans and specifications furnished by the City Engineer, and which may be seen at his office. The lowest or any tonder not necessarily accepted. With each tender there must be enclosed a bank marked cheque, or deposit receipt, equal in amount to ten per cent, upon the gross amount of the tender, as a security for the hona fides of the party tendering. And I further give notice that on Tuesday, the 12th day of April next, at 12 o'clock noon, the Resident Magistrate will hold a Court for the purpose of hearing an'l determining all objections thereto. A copy of the said List will be exhibited for 'publio inspection at the door of the Resident Magistrate* Court, from the 30th March to 11th April inclusive. The Claim must be lodged with the Beturning Officer, Dunedin, on or before 31st March, 1864.
