By the Alhambra we have advices to the 7th inst. We extract the following from the Herald of that date:—
The import market continues to manifest very little activity. There is a demand for bams and bacon for shipment to New Zealand, and favorite brands of the former have advanced fr >m Is 4d to 1 4.V1; and of the latter from Is 2d to Is 3d. Case brandy and whiskey are also in demand lor the same m-irke*, but beyomi this there is little doinfr The lata advance in sugar is well sustained, and Cossipore is now in good inquiry at improved rates. ;
