Extraordinary Story.—An extraordinary case of attempted infanticide is reported from Bath. A woman named NHiolts was delivered of a child in the Btreet, on the night of October 14, and as soon as the infant was born, it was thrown by a woman who accompanied her over some railings. Both then ran off, the woman who had been jnsfc delivered faster thira the otlwr. The whole aft'air had, however, been «een by a young woman who was passing, and she brought the mother back to thespot. The child was picked up, and found to be living. Both Nicholls and the woman who accompanied her are in custody.
