h, Saturday, November 15. r (Before A. C. Strode, E«q., E.M.) Druskennkss —Rose Ann Buchanan for being helplessly drunk-in tho'styeots on Thursday afternoon was fined in 205., which was paid for her by a person in Court. Wm, Johnston also paid the same amount for a similar offence.
A Decid-.d Evil.—David Milne was firie-1, in absence, 20s and. costs, for neglecting to cletr an open drain. Inspector Nimon said he had receiver information from the Hospital authorities, and he found that the defendant had left the drain in a choked slate close by the Hospital, where the odoui was disagreeably strong-. Opening the Pavkment. - Atwell Hayes was changed with having, on Thursday, opened up the agphalte pavement in Martin-street, without authority from the Town Board. Defendant said hi sunposed that Mr Currie, his employer, had the requisite authority. Inspector Niraon said he had made inquiry, and no written order had been issued by the Town Board. The case was adjourned till Tuesday to ascertain if verbal sanction had been given.
