The schooner "Albatross," from Dunedm,'arrive** at Auckland on Saturday morning, the Bth instant. The passengers- had applied at the Police Court for advice under the following circumstances :—-The provisions had been so bad as.to bo quite unfit for food, '.and "the passengers in consequence had been half starved on the passage, being obliged to subsist on potatoes,, of which only a very small quantity were on hn.-.nl. It v.-jyi'exj-ootcl that the captain would be proceeded against by liis ill-used and unfortunate passengers. The luter-colonial Royal Mail steamer '-'Airedale," from the Northern Provinces, arrived at Port Chalmers at 7 p.m. last evening. She brings a full complement ot passengers, among whom are Dillon Bell, Esq., Acting Native Secretary, and T. A. Alansford, the newly-appointed Resident Magistrate at Port Chalmers.
