GOVERNAIENT CONTRACTS.—The Government does not in any case bind itselt to accept any tender. The respective tenders must contain the address which will find the tenderer by post, and must be written on foolscap paper, in a plain, legible hand, and lodged in the Superintendent's Office, Dunedin, on or before the days mentioned below. All plans, toe, in connection with Roads and Bridges, will be seen at the Road Ofiice, and those 'relating to Public Buildings, at the oiiice of Public Buildings, Dunedin ; and if they are to be seen at any other place, it will be notified in the advertisement. Wales, and from reliable information, has lately arrived in Otago from Biwrangong Diggings, N.S. Wales. Viscount Guillimore has but recently succeeded to his title, and is therefore better known as Patrick or Pat Grady, a name he has assumed since his first arrival iv Victoria. ST.
