The following are the Qualification of Voters: — Every man of the age of 21 years or upwards. 1. Having a Freehold Estate in possession situate within the District for which the vote is claimed of the clear value of £50 above all charges and incumbrances and of or to which he has been seised or entitled either at Law or in Equity for at least six calendar months before the 30th of April; or 2. Having a Leasehold Estate in possession situate within such District of the clear annual value often ounds, held upon a Lease, which on 30th April shall ' ot have less than 3 years to run, or of which he Iwb "peen in possession for 3 years or upwards next before 30th April; or 3. Being a Householder within such District occupying a Tenement and residing therein six calendar months previous to the 30th April, if within the limits of Dunedin, of the clear annual value of ten pounds, and if without the limits of Dunedin of the clear annual value of five pounds ; 4. Being the holder of a Miner's right not less than three months before the 30th of April, in any goldiield duly constituted under the Gold Fields Act. Must s be sent to the Registrar's Office before the Slst March. DESCRIPTION OF THE DISTRICTS OF DUNEDIN, BRUCE, AND HAMPDEN, WITHIN REFERRED TO. 1. City op Dunedin. —The Town of Dunedin as originally laid out by the New Zealand Company, including the Town Belt. 2. Bruce. —Is bounded on the north by the Hampden District, from the mouth of the Waikouaiti River to the confluence of the Minzionburn and Clutha River; thence by a line to the summit of Mount Spvlaw; thence down the Spylawburn to its confluence with the Pomohaka River; thence on the west by the Pomahaka River to the confluence of the AVnipahi Creek; thence by tho Waipahi Creek to the confluence of the Kawera Creek; thence by a line to the Otaria Peak; thence on the south-west by a line to Cattlin's Cone; thence by Cattlin's River to the sea; and thenre by tho sea to Waikouaiti River—excepting the city of Dunedin. 3. Hampden.—ls bounded on the north nnd northeast by the Heathcote and Tim am Districts; on the north-west by the sea; on the south-west and south by a line from the head of Milford Haven to the Waikatipu Lake; thence by that Luke to the Kawarau River^ thence by that River to Clutha River; thence by the Clutha River to the confluence of the Minzionburn; thence by the Minzionburn to Lammerlaw Peak; thence by a line to the nearest source of the Deep Stream; thence down the Deep Stream to its confluence with the Taieri River; thence by a Hue due east across the Silver Peak Hills to Cherry Farm Creek; thence down that Creek to its confluence with the Waikouaiti River, nnd down the Waikouaiti River to the sea; and on the east by the sea.
