VALEDICTORY AT PUKEURI.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) A valedictory social to Mr and Airs Allington was held in the Pukeuri Hull on Friday eveninir. There was a large attendance of friends, the capacity ot the floor being taxed by from 40 to 50 couples. Mr 13. Kilgour was in charge of tinproceedings, and during the evening presented' to Air and All's Allington a couple of handsome chairs. Air and Airs Allington have resided in the district for some time, Air Allington being employed, by the Railway Department until failing health compelled him to resign. Latterly he has been engaged in catering for the wants of the public, and recently sold out to Mr Panekliurst. Air and' Airs Allington carry with them the good wishes of the people of the district. Air Allington suitably replied., thanking the people for the evident comfort they would be able to enjoy sitting before the lire oil-the cold winter evenings. . During the evening songs were pleasantly rendered by Misses Bain and Murray , Airs Smart, and Messrs Jo* Johnson and B. Kilgour, a piano selection by Air Bert Evans, and exhibition dances by Airs Smart and Mr Lawson. Air J. .Johnson mr.de an efficient At.C., and the music was in the capable hands of Air Smart.
