"WELLINGTON. November 5. At the Supreme Court., before Mr .Justice Chapman. John Lister for coniiiioii assault on- a little girl at the Basin j-eserve was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment. Gilbert Gordon Sotherly, 19 rears of age, for indecent assault, on a girl was sentenced to two years 7 reformative- treatment. ( ; Kdward slyer. for false pretences, witli a record of 23 previous convictions was sentenced to ll* mouths and declared an habitual criminal. In the. cast-of Tipe Itiuiciie. who was collected of the theft of a motor cycle the prisoner luid served honorably at- the front- for four years. His Honor said he would give hint a chance. He "could not admit hint to probation, but would order prisoner to present himself at- the next sitting of the Court. If lie did not behave himself in the. meantime it would "be open to the police to briny him up "tor .sentence on the present charge. CHRJSTCHURUH, November 5. At the Supremo Court.
