WELLINGTON RACES . (Per Press Association.) Trent-ham, January 22. The "weather is wet and boisterous for the second day of the Wellington Racing Club's summer meeting. The attendance is as larsre as usual, and the course is in good condition. Results: — MUNGAROA WELTER. Prince Laddo 1 Jem ... 2 Bonny Rigg ... ... 3 All started. Jem came through in the straight' and was challenged by Prince Laddo. After a great set-to the. latter won by a neck, with, a length between second and third. Time, lmiii 31 4-ssec. JANUARY WELTER. Briar Patch ... ... 1 . Crown Pearl .:. ... 2 Beldame ... ... ••• 3 Killaloo was scratched. The field was evenly despatched, and' was headed by Mount Victoria, with Crown Pearl lying second.
