Mrs Fulham, who was sentenced to death for the murder of lier husband, but was afterwards reprieved and sentenced to life imprisonment, has died in prison from apoplexy.

Mrs Fulham and Lieutenant Clark were charged in February of last year with the murder of Mrs Fulham's'husband, a fellow-officer of the male prisoner. "It was proved at the trial that there were passages in their lives which : strongly suggested improper relations between tho two prisoners, and Lieu- | tenant Clark admitted having adminis- ! tered antipvrin to the murdered man at Mrs Fulliam's suggestion. The fcmalo prisoner's offer to turn King's evidence was refused. After a lengthy hearing Lieutenant Clark and tho woman were found guilty, aud sentenced to death, with three natives who assisted in the crime. Clark and the natives suffered-the extreme penalty of the law but as the doctors testified that she, was encientc, Mrs Fulliam's sentence -rtas commuted as stated._ The trial excited considerable interest throughout British India, and in parts of England where the two principals in the crime were known.
