Representatives of the Manufacturers' Association interviewed President Wilson urging the suspension of business legislation by Conga-ess because, capital is .avoiding investment owing to the fear of inimical laws. The President expressed a desire to .assist business but said it would be better to do something moderately and soberly than to wait until the Radical forces accumulated and compelled him to go much further.
