OBITUARY AT OTEKAIKE.

(Contributed.) I A very sad event occurred at Otekaike on Friday in the deaTh of Mrs Johnston, wife of Mr Robert Johnston, of Otekaike. It is just a few short months ago since we welcomed her here, a young and happy bride, and we little thouhgt at that time how soon we should have to mourn her untimely death. She was of a gentle and amiable disposition, which made her beloved by all who had the pleasure of her friendship. Her death, after only a few hours' illness, came as a dreadful shock to all, and cast quite a gloom over our little community. The most heartfelt sorrow is extended from all in .the district to her bereaved husband, her father, and relatives.in their sad. and sudd»» loss.
