RESTRICTIONS IN CANADA

Sikh deputation presented Lord Hardinge with a Vancouver memorial praying for the "tfse of his infiuenc© with the Imperial and Canadian Governments to remove the Indian grievance in British Columbia. Lord Hardinge promised his support, but pointedi out that political opinion in Canada; was opposed to a relaxation of the restrictions. Durban, December 21. Ghandi and others have been released on parole. . G'handi in an interview strongly criticised the omission of Indian representation ; *on the eomuilssiqii and said unless this wns ;th© Indians would renew their activities.
