TERRIFIC GAS EXPLOSION.
Received May 9, at- 9.55 p.m. London, May 9. A terrific gas explosion occurred - at Stratford, wrecking the meter-house and adjacent buildings. A workman was found in the ruins wi'ch his head blown off and another was desperately injured. The town and villages are in darkness. Received May 10, at 10.40 a.m. London, May 9. A second victim has succumbed is the result of the gas explosion at Stratford 1 . ■• •
