Mr Crawshay-Williams moved a., reduction askingfor air investigation into the industrial unrest. Lord Robert Cecil stated that the factory and company systems destroyed the human element in industry, and he advocated co-partnership. Mr Keir Hardie sand tiie -enquiry would cause delay. Tiie Labor Tarty objected to a special commission of enquiry on these questions. He added: "We are a' special commission." He moved -an amendment .'.in favor of a Right to Work Bill, eight hours a day, a minimised liy.iug wage, and the nationalisation of industries. - • ■ Mr Lloyd-George said agricultural labor was much underpaid, many men onl'v earning 15s a week. The national-is-ation of the railways was worth examining as a business proposition.
