Trail—Cauea.-ia. reports that the ConsulGeneral at Tabriz protests against the iiiramou- calunuiio- upon the Russian troop.-, who are treating the inhabitants v.iiii humanity, notwithstanding the airocitie.s upon the Russian wounded and mutilation oi their bodies, lie declares that any particular instances of the innocent perishing was solely due to the bombardment of the houses from whence a Russian detachment was .subject to a fusilade. The commander of the detachment removed the women and children from these houses to the shelter of an encampment, thence they were conveyed to .town by. the peaceable inhabitants, escorted by .Russian soldiers. The officer commanding the latter was treacherously .killed.

Subsequently the Consul-General informed the Governor and chief mullah that the disarmament of the people was a to negotiations, adding that he'would hot tolerate the presence of armed spectators in the streets and on the roofs.
