(Pzis Press Association.) . Wellington, December 28. Whilst sitting on a rook paddling her feet in the water at Island Bay yesterday a little girl was atacked by an octopus. Attracted by her cries, the father found three tentacles wound tightly round the girl's leg. She was being gradually drawn into the water. The father's strength proved unavailing to extricate the chiM. but with the as- : «.iance of three ladies tho octopus was beaten off and the girl resetted.
