(Per Press Associatios.) Wellington, December 28. The Npw Zealand Festival of Empire Committee last night entertained Mr R. C'nomJws, who was their representative in London with the Australasian team. In the course of hisvreply to tbo welcome extended to him, Mr Cocmbes. said the team which went Home was foredoomed to failure. Tho members of the team reached Loudon one bv one and were located .in different parts "of the city. It was, consequently, difficuk to deal with them" as a team. The men were left to their own devices. Whenever a team went : Home again the members-should go bo in the .same quarters when they got to England, and bo bound to do as they were to!d by the representative in charge. The team was hall-marked with defeat before it left the shores of Australia and New Zealand.
