SCHOOL VACATIONS.
WINDSOR
Tile animal distribution of prizes of Windsor School was" held on Friday afternoon. The School Committee attended and a considerable number oi parents and others interested in the progress of the children were also present. Mr Livingstone. Chairman of the Committee, distributed the prizes. Before doing so he complimented the teacher.s —.Mr Duggan and Miss I'aul — upon the successful year's work thathad jit.-t been accomplished, and he congratulated the children upon the report of their efficiency submitted by the Chtf Inspector. Mr Richardson.
The following is the ' prize list in order of merit and the aggregate result of the four term examinations:
Standard VI —Doris Kennedy 1, Charlotte Wallace. 2, Bell Park 3, Gracie Turnbull 4, David Wilson 5 (proficiency certificates).

O'Hara (awarded by Mrs Don). Standard Vl—Darning: B. Park (awarded by Mrs Livingstone). Standard 111 Darning: M. Johnston (awarded by Mrs Livingstone). Dux (gold medal awarded by Mrs and Mr C. W. Reid): Doris Kennedy; 2nd (gold medal awarded by Mr Livingstone), Charlotte Wallace.' Most popular girl (silver medal awarded by Messrs G. and T. Young): Bell Park; 2nd (Mr Fraser's prize), Grace Turnbull. Most popular boy (Mr J. M. Brown's prize): Alex. Don. At the close of the distribution Mr Livingstone conveyed the thanks of the Committee to all who contributed to the prize fund. He made special reference to the kindliness of Mrs and Mr C. W. Reid, who donated the dux gold medal. Owing to the unfavorable weather the picnic, which was to have been held on Friday, is postponed'until a date in the near future. •
