The day was observed in the usual semi-sabbatical manner. Melbourne, Decembtr 25. A hot "brickfielder" morning followed by heavy rain partially spoiled the holiday.

(Per Pbess Association.) Wanganui, December 2-5. Tho weather for the holidays has been unpleasant-. Heavy rain fell on Christmas eve, intermittently yesterday, and again to-day. Nothing of moment has ; happened.
