SMALL CRAZING BALLOT.

(Per Press Association.) Timaru, December 22. The Tesult of the ballot for five small runs in the Mackenzie Country to-day was:

2200 acres at Burke's Pass—W. H. Hunt, Timaru, builder. Part old Tekapo run, 17,000 acres— F. Lake M'Gregor, a son of John M'Gregor, who has been fifty years in the Mackenzie Country. The winner was born at Glenmore, across the lake. Part of the Glentanner run, 20,000 acres—Mrs Ellen Gpuld, of Raincliff, a woman with a large family. Glenmore, west of Lake Tepako, 15,500 acres —Mrs Black, wife of Walter Black, a well-known settler of Fairlie, formerly a stock inspector there. Lower part of Simon's Pass (best of the five), 16,000 acres—W. J. Haskins, carpenter, Ashburton. There were. 140 individual applicants admitted to the ballot. "The Chairman of the Board impressed upon them that the residence conditions would be strictly enforced.
