The Republicans on the Ways and Means Committee of the House of Representatives intend to prepare a Wool Bill based on the Tariff Board's report. The intention is to put- the issue of protection clearly up to the Progressives, and force them to meet it squarely. The Progressive; leaders, it is understood, favor a protective duty equal to the difference between the cost of production in the I'liited States and abroad.
