At the Church of Christ (Eden st.) to-morrow Mr Harward will deliver special addresses appropriate to the Christmas season. The combined Tokaraki, Livingstone, and Maerewhenua picnic will be held in Mr Somerville's paddock on Thursday, 28th inst. There will be the usual Sunday services at the Salvation Army barracks to-morrow; and the band will play at the hospital at 10 a.m. Messrs E. Glass and Sons announce the arrival, of their new stock of American engravings and prints. These are described as much alwvc the average, and include reproductions frojn the works of the foremost artists -'n the' States. An invitation is extended! to inspect same at the rooms, Tees street.

almanac for 1912. A copy of Messrs Charles Begg and Co.'s nicely-printed musical souvenir is also acknowledged. The latter contains a concise history of the firm's progress during the past.so years, and is profusely illustrated. The splendid display of silver cups and medals in Mr William Bee's window represents the Taieri and Peninsula ,Milk Supply Company's roll of honor for 1911. Altogether the prizes represent a value of about £4OO, and afford a striking testimony- of the distinction which the T. anil P.'s products have won in the world of commerce. It is satisfactory to note that in several cases the products of the local factory formed part of the winning; '..exhibits. Tlie trophies include tho Waikato. Company for the first time); the Southland' Butter Championship, and the Otago Butter Championship Cup, valued at 50 guineas (won by the Taieri and Peninsula Company three times In. succession, and- now. their own property); the new Otago Cup; the Taranaki Challenge Cup, Valued at 25 guineas), won .at Summer Show, New Plymouth, in October last, the exhibit being manufactured 1 at the Oamaru factory); the Taranaki Metropolitan Cup, of 75 guineas (won in October last); 7i certificate covering two gold medal awards for butter, won at the Colonial Products Exhibition, held at St. George's Hall, Liverpool, audi in addition to all tliese, 12 other .medals. The ninth annual gathering under the auspices, of the Enfield Athletic Society takes place on Tuesday. The entries are most gratifying, and every event will bring out a big field. The: 10th Regimental Band will play during the day. A special train leaves Oamaru at 9.35 a.m., returning leaving Enfield at 5.30 p.m. In the evening the "annual concert and dance will wind up what promises to be. a very successful meeting.

Messrs Familton Bros., painters, forward a prettily got-up calendar. Special Christmas * services will bo held at the Wesley Church to-morrow. In the morning Mrs Williams will conduct the meeting and in the evening the Rev W. J. Williams will preach. Mrs Williams will preach at Kakariui in the evening. The Junior Endeavorers are asked to meet at the Victoria Home, at 10 a.m. sharp, An advertisement announces that the North Otago "United Friendly Societies' Dispensary is now open for business, and is. showing an. assortment, of perfumery, brushes, etc., suitable for the Christmas .trade. - . '

Our advertising columns hold an announcement advising the Oamaru public of the great Christmas programmes to be screened at the Opera House tonight, Monday, and Tuesday. Fuller's pictures are well known in Oamaru, and we are advised that these special lists axe amongst the best they can supply. Mrs Batsoh will, during' Monday and Tuesday's entertainments, sing specially songs.
