UNIVERSAL PICTURES.
The usual large audience witnessed tho excellent programme screened at the Opera House last evening. The strongest portion of the programme was the drama series, but they were many amusing and highly interesting pictures screened. The Patke colored- drama "War and Love" was well up to the usual high standard of merit, and tho A.B. and Vitigraph Company's dramas were also excellent productions. The pictures of "Harry-arid Fogwell Sculling" and "Chemical Actions" were highly interesting, the last-named licing of great educational value. "Five Graceful Girls" in an acrobatic turn were loudly applauded, and the comedies caused, much amusement. The usual matinee will be held to-morrow, and a special programme will be screened to-morrow evening. Special arrangements are being made for Christmas week, and full particulars', will be found in to-morrow's issue.
