SPORTS PROTECTION LEAGUE.
(Per PaESsAssociATidifO Hastings,.- December 20. A meeting was held in Hastings-yes-terday--afternoon "for the -purpose of forming a branch of .the - New -Zealand Sports Protection League. Sixty were present, representing -all branches of sport'. It-was .-.- decided to "form a Hawke's Bay Centre. There are stated to be -10,000 members ofrthe League in Hawke's Bay. " The' election of officers resulted: President, Mr G. P. Don- ■ nelly; vice-presidents—Messrs E. H. Williams, F. Logan, Geo. Hunter, M.P., Frank Gordon, G. R. King, H. M. Campbell, M:P., R. D. D. M'Lean, Leonard Storey, and W. H. Hartgill.
